Laura Mercier - SPF 20 oil free tinted moisturizer

Had always been using a corrector (MAC NC 15) in substitute of liquid foundation as I really hate the watery feel as it takes a while for any liquid foundation to set.

As I was in search for a replacement for the above corrector, I came across the laura mercier tinted moisturizer and wanted to kinda give it a try as it's bigger and hopefully, on average more cost savy.

Please note that a corrector is very different from a concealer and even greater difference as compared to a tinted moisturizer. On most good days, what I usually need is only a sheer cover, so I decided to just try. Mainly, to see if it works for me as NC 15 really hard to get as it is always constantly out of stock in MAC outlets.

Gone are the days where 2 way cake was like the talk of the town or the hippest around. Moving forward, liquid foundation will be more of a trend in the makeup line as most liquid foundation these days are more lightweight and provides a more natural after effect.

However, if you are rushing to work, the last thing you need is extra moisture on your face. I do not mean you just leave your skin to dry and crack. Imagine, toner, moisturizer, sunscreen, liquid foundation.... and if you can't wait for either your skin to absorb or the foundation to set, you start putting on your loose powder, it just most probably gonna be cakey end of the day. Powder and liquid? They just don't click together.

I tried the product on my hand and it gets absorb and sets very quickly so it kinda of like fulfill my need for speed makeup in the morning.

However, it has very sheer coverage, as such if you have quite of flaws or redness, you either have to keep layering it, waiting for it to set or just add concealer to it.

The package is conceal with a thin foil to prevent the product from spoiling if you were to keep for awhile before you started using it.

As I am kind of very fair, I usually go for the lightest shade in Porcelain.
Note: It comes in the normal and oil free version. If you tend to combination to oily screen, it will be best to stick to something oil free, the last you need is feeling crap on your face after a long day.

And so the package speaks for itself, to layer for additional coverage.

Its a little similar to BB cream in terms of texture but its not as pores clogging as some BB cream as it does not contains bismuth oxychloride and some other ingredients which will cause pore clogging. (This has not much to do with how much you cleanse your skin, some BB will cause underlying clogs, beneath the skin)

My bare skin with popping veins.
Just a generic swatch on the hand.
First layer on my hand and you can see that the vein colour is kinda reduced and its gives a radiance sheer finish.
2nd layer of application, it didn't feel extra coverage or difference for me. You can still see the popping vein the greenish colour of the vein is kinda reduced.
Have you tried using this before? Do you like it?
