A day by the bay

This is just a pure photos post. Taken during the visit to Harry Potter exhibition at Art and Science Museum.

Photography is forbidden during the Harry Potter Exhibition.

Bead..Bead...Beadstreet

Following the not so long ago obsession on the recent haul of nail polishes from beadstreet(cineleisure), Its another haul from their shop where they are now having their Great Singapore Sale.

I have bought more nail polishes but this time round but I will just publish the other small stuff and accessories I have got from there.

Do you know that their earrings are only selling at SGD$0.90? Isn't it cheap?

They have a range of plain but colourful rubber cases for Samsung SIII too. The best part it is only SGD$2. I have seen similar designs elsewhere selling at SGD$12-SGD$15.

Other than sourcing from Gmarket and waiting for your lovely hauls to come, you might wanna just head down there and do some purchases.

Last but not least, some pictures of the hauls:

Hello! Hello Kitty Affair

When has my obsession with Hello Kitty started? Honestly, if I want to trace back, it would have been really hard. I am just a die hard fan of anything cute and plushy.

It brings absolute joy and a broad wide smile on my face.

When I received Tangs mailer that Vans is launching yet another round of Hello Kitty Limited Editions, I was already looking forward to it.

Going to town was kinda of much a hassle and I didn't really think I would even get the haversack. (yes, bags are one their collection this season). And guess what? Jurong point has a Vans outlet. Am I lucky or what?

They have two designs for the bags in this collection, but I have decided to go with this one.

Hello Kitty has been a vintage icon and since, many companies has been trying to collaborate and incorporate Hello Kitty with their merchandise. Being the most recent, Macdonald's with their Hello Kitty plushies.

I am huge fan of Van products and what is more wonderful than having two loves merge into one?

Here is a picture of the other design launched.

I just chance upon the website when I was searching for some images to post.

You may also wanna visit www.hellokittyjunkie.com for the full range collection pictures.

I must say this collection has more to offer and some of the shoe designs is much prettier than the last.

Are you a Hello Kitty fan? What are some other cool Hello Kitty stuff you have to share?

DIY: Pouch (Hello Kitty style)

Up for some random DIY? Lately, there is this inspiration to wanna to do a DIY pouch.

Before we get started, there is some of the materials you will need to start this project.

1. Sewing machine. (or you can manual sew)
2. Cloth
3. Iron on fix
4.Buttons
5. Threads
6. Charms
7. Zip
8. Lace

Step one:

Always measure the length of the pouch with the help of your zip. The cloth length should always give some allowances for the zip. It shouldn't be too long or short in length.

Step two:

Always sew your embellishments on the cloth before you sew the sides up.

Step three:

Sew the zip first before you sew the pouch up.

Step four:

If you want to have some puffy effect, inside some stuffings into it. (Such stuffings can be found in art stores like Art Friend)

The front and the lining inside.
 Up with the lace.
Than the embelishments.
Almost done, now the back cloth.(The front has been inserted with stuffings)

 The completed pouch.

Added a charm on the zip.

Do you like to do DIY projects? Care to share some of your the interesting projects with me?

It's my candy doll

If you have been checking out the kawaii corner in watsons, you would have notice of this brand, "candy doll". It is from the same line of cosmetics as dolly wink.

Maybe some is not very familiar with candy doll but I am pretty sure most people should know and heard of dolly wink since falsies is in absolute dominant as one of the must have in every girl make up box.

Any judgement is really personal. Considering that I am a big fan of anything that is from japan, I must say I am quite bias in the judgement but I try to be as fair as I could.

Candy doll originates from a japanese model who is also the creator for both candy doll and dolly wink.

It aims to create a dolly and flawless look.

I have quite a big haul on their products but in this post, I will be just reviewing one of their blushes.

I have with me, their blusher in peach pink.

Their candy doll collection is ubber expensive for something that is found in a local drugstore and the quantity it offers versus the price, it is as though you are buying anna sui range of cosmetics.

Its cosmetics is highly rated to conceal redness or imperfections on the face, to somewhat correct it so that you have a face of a dolly.

If I can remember correctly, the blusher cost about SGD$26.90 and its really quite small in size.

The colour is very natural and light so if you have very fair skin, you might not see the colour on naked cheek. Unless, you puff many layers of it.

One layer swatch on my hand.

Right off the pot on my finger.

Another picture of the swatch in my hand.

If you put it on a powdered face, the colour looks kinda fine actually.

Are you a fan of candy doll?

Look forward for my reviews on other candy doll products soon. (I hope) *_^

Colours of the wind

Have you been to cineleisure recently? I have stop frequently that place for the longest period I can remember because I really do not find anything nice to shop around there and honestly, I find the stuff there kinda expensive.

There is an overwhelming crowd at the shop, Beadstreet. I saw a super big board saying 1 for $2.50 or 2 for $4. That board totally captivates my attention. It's all about colours, many wonderful colours in a bottle, waiting to works it's magic on you.

Can you guess what it is yet?

. . .

It's nail polish!!

It comes in all colours and even cracked nail polishes goes for the same price as mentioned above.

I didn't get any cracked nail polish as I cannot decide what colour I want.

I suddenly have a thing for bold colours and in a blue and green craze so behold, my haul!

Some swatches on the nail. The colour is easy to apply on. Usually, such pastel colours will leave streaks when you paint your nails. This range, however, do not have such problem and is very smooth and easy to apply on. End of the day, it's kinda cheap so no harm trying yet?

Shana Shana

Hohoho~ It's yet but another haul from.... ding ding ding... Shana!

I came to learn to know about Shana during their shop opening in Jcube. (Jcube is a modified version of the old Jurong Entertainment centre).

Shana offers many low range clothes, shoes and accessories. Last but not least, bags!
Some may think, cheap stuff comes with cheap quality. Than again, fashion is always short live so don't bother stressing on quality. Just simply indulge in the fashion trends and live the true colours out of it. I mean, I wouldn't wanna buy something that last an eternity and end up like country pumpkin. (It's hard to discard something that looks usuable especially if its bought with hard earned monies).

Ironically, I must also say not every stuff in their shop is worth the price for the quality you get. This is no longer about durability or fashion, its about making your two cents worth.

Ta-dah! Their pink polka paper bag.

Their bag in pink. It does not come in other colours. SGD$29.90
Sandals with leopard print ribbon. SGD$17.90

How it looks on my feet. ^_^
Have you been Shana'ing yet?
